A Message from Heaven

When tomorrow starts without me,

And I'm not there to see;

If the sun should rise and find your eyes

All filled with tears for me;

I wish so much you wouldn't cry

The way you did today,

While thinking of the many things,

We didn't get to say.

I know how much you love me,

As much as I love you,

And each time that you think of me,

I know you'll miss me too;

But when tomorrow starts without me,

Please try to understand,

That an angel came and

called my name,

And took me by the hand,

And said my place was ready,

In heaven far above,

And that I'd have to leave behind

All those I dearly love.

But as I turned to walk away,

A tear fell from my eye,

For all my life, I'd always thought,

I didn't want to die.

I had so much to live for,

So much yet to do,

It seemed almost impossible,

That I was leaving you.

I thought of all the yesterdays,

The good ones and the bad,

I thought of all the love we shared,

And all the fun we had.

If I could relive yesterday,

Just even for a while,

I'd say good-bye and kiss you

And maybe see you smile.

But then I fully realized,

That this could never be,

For emptiness and memories,

Would take the place of me.

And when I thought of worldly things,

I might miss come tomorrow,

I thought of you, and when I did,

My heart was filled with sorrow.

But when I walked through heaven's gates,

I felt so much at home.

When God looked down and

smiled at me,

From His great golden throne,

He said "This is eternity,

And all I've promised you."

Today for life on earth is past,

But here it starts anew.

I promise no tomorrow,

But today will always last.

MIKE CRONIN

It is always sad when we lose one of our long-time members of the HMC Club. Mike Cronin passed away on February 4, 2009 surround by all his extended family after suffering a heart attack and a short stay in the hospital. Mike and his wife Dotty were club members since 1989. He was a great big-hearted guy who enjoyed the club rallies and had a hearty laugh that resonated for miles. Mike & Dotty lived in Ramona, CA.

Funeral Services were held on February 22, 2009 and Interment was at the Nuevo Cemetery followed by an old-fashioned Irish Wake at his home. The family asked that you not send flowers. Cards would be wonderful.

JACK DOWNEY

APRIL 18, 2009

Jack Downey passed away on April 18, 2009 in Prescott, AZ where he and his wife Linda lived for many years. Jack and Linda joined the Club in 1993 and members will always remember Jack for his happy disposition. He and Linda attended most of the rallies until he took ill several years ago. He will be greatly missed.

There will be a Memorial Service on Sunday, April 26th at 2:00 p.m. at Hampton Funeral Home in Prescott. If you go to their website hamptonfuneralhome.com there is more information regarding the service.

The family is coming from all over for the service. They are having a pot luck reception at the house afterwards. Jackie would have loved the gathering of his family and friends.

Our best wishes go out to Linda. We will remember the wonderful times we all had together. Jack will be missed by all his HMC club friends.

JACK LaPLACE

APRIL 2009

We just learned JACK LaPLACE passed away. He was preceded in death by his wife Loyce who died in September 2001. They lived in Seal Beach, CA. Jack and Loyce were among the original members who joined the HMC club in 1987. They were very active in the club for many years.

Jack was an avid boater and fisherman. He belonged to the Outboard Boating Club of Long Beach (OBC) for many years. Hauling a boat is what first began his interest in motorhomes. His first motorhome was a Commander, which many in the OBC had to pull their boats. His favorite boat was a 22' Cruiser, INC. He got his first HMC in 1986. He enjoyed traveling the country with his wife Loyce and they loved being in the HMC Club. His favorite rally was Santa Anita Race Track. He downsized to a Class C in recent years and continued limited travel. He will be missed by many friends in both the OBC and HMC Clubs.

There will be a Memorial Service at the Elks Club in Huntington Beach, CA on May 1, 2009.

Jack was loved by all who knew him

and will be missed by all his HMC Club friends.
